Loved everything about this place! The decor was interesting with a fun atmosphere, and great customer service from Jasmine! My cocktail (Waiting in Vain) was tasty and refreshing. We started by sharing the Lil Gems Caesar…best caesar I have ever had, the olive tapenade made the dish. I loved every part of the Skillet Fried Chicken & Hoecakes! The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the hoecakes were so delicious (loved the apricot butter!). My husband also loved the burger and cocktail (Dazed and Confused). Would highly recommend!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an amazing dining experience at Ice Plant Bar in St. Augustine, FL! 🌿🍋 The food was absolutely top-notch — everything tasted incredibly fresh and full of flavor. I had the Caesar salad with blackened chicken, and wow… I’m usually not a fan of kale, but this one totally won me over! 🥗 The flavors were bold and balanced perfectly — the huge homemade croutons, tangy capers, and that touch of lemon brought it all together beautifully. My wife ordered the fried chicken with gravy, collard greens, and hoecakes, and it was out of this world. 🍗 The hoecakes were like the perfect mix between a pancake and cornbread — crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. Every bite was pure Southern comfort. The ambiance was just as impressive. The restaurant is inside a restored 1920s building, keeping all that old charm intact — high ceilings, vintage details, and even a 1940s delivery truck parked outside 🚚. It feels like stepping back in time but with modern craft and flavor. We both loved every minute and every bite. 💯 I’d eat here again anytime — one of those rare places that nails both the food and the experience. Highly recommend! 🙌
Holy smokes I’m still thinking about the wedge salad. I’m not sure what was all on top but from the dressing to the crunchies, it was amazing. I would go back just for that. Brought friends from Budapest here and they loved it. Great meal great drinks and will definitely come back.
The cocktails, food, and service were terrific! We had a New York Sour, Gin and Tonic, Smoked Local Fish Dip, Pan Seared Local Fish, and Kale Caesar salad with Shrimp and each item was somewhat unique and delicious. The restaurant setting and decor is really cool. And the server was friendly and efficient.
Great food with an even better service. My fiancé and I went last night and Jasmine was especially world class. We were back tonight for seconds! Their seasonal item the tea brined pork chop was of the highest quality I’ve had in a long time and their fish of the day (yesterday) was flounder and was on top of my list for favorite prepared foods in St. Augustine. We are back tonight for more and are super excited for the different drinks too!
We LOVE this place. A true St. Augustine gem. My mom and I have been every week for a few months now and we are always happy & satisfied with our food and service. Last night we had Kevin as our server, and he went above and beyond. He is kind and attentive! We have also had wonderful service in the past by Kendall and Jasmine. I don’t frequently write reviews, but this place deserves all the love I can give. We love you Ice Plant!!!
Pork belly sliders were outstanding! Cooked to perfection. Patio is dog friendly but no table service, you order at the bar. Patio is small and all high top chairs... No too warm or welcoming but we were happy our dog could join us. The Ice Plant and Distillery are two separate businesses.
Really loved this place, our server, Sam, was excellent. Unfortunately we were sat at those booth like tables where you are very close to your neighbors and the tables on either side of us were VERY high maintenance. Sam was a trooper and extremely helpful to them all. He honestly should get employee of the month if management could have seen how accommodating he was! GO SAM! I had the blackened redfish special with a lovely side salad and it was fabulous! Hubby got a burger cooked perfectly and delicious. It was happy hour and I had a nice margarita and thankfully Sam kept our waters filled. I would return but would deny being sat at those tables ever again!
Do yourself a favor and have a meal and drinks at this place. They are running a serious kitchen here. Every single item was 10/10, the drinks were 10/10. I enjoy gin and had the Pimm’s cup, my wife had a vodka and gin drink called “Virtual Insanity. Both drinks were phenomenal. We loved the food and drinks so much that we came back for lunch and dinner. Excellent service and atmosphere. Staff here is truly knowledgeable and outstanding.
Excellent dinner for our party of 9. All good came out together and hot. Truffle fries are a must! The solo sauce was perfect. Every dinner was delicious. Service was great. Drinks were fabulous.
